I also have 29 hens 1 rooster. I have lost a few to old age and or an accident, which i myself buried, since unsure if they were safe. I have a big coop, Rooster is separated. Babies too, well pullets they are 16 weeks now. Busy cleaning the coop that is everyday for me. we have a walk in so there is alot to clean. I enjoy watching them too they do some funny stuff.

True, but natural predators kill what they need to eat. They don’t kill for the sport of it the way your pet dog will. My pet dog killed 12 chickens one fine afternoon. I’ve never seen a fox do that and leave the bodies behind.
